Re: Sold American!
I was looking for a good pair of shop shoes , I'll tear up a pair of sneakers in a month and wearing boots doing body work doesn't work for me , I used to buy leather work shoes from Sears and they lasted a long time and the older they got the better they felt . Well no more Sears and no more work shoes . All I was finding were cheaply made expensive shoes from overseas . Then I found these Golden Fox work shoes On Amazon , Made in the USA On sale $78.00 . They arrived yesterday , They fit great and Mrs Grumpy saw them and said
"Those are way to nice to ruin them working on your truck " So now what ? Back on the hunt for the old style Sears work shoes ...To work in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRzm6JZ-GlY

Reading the comments in the video I see that Golden Fox has two lines of footwear, one made in the States and one made in China. You have to make sure you are buying the "Heritage" line of shoes made in the US. Some of the commenters were bragging that they got their Golden Fox boots on eBay and only had to pay $39.00 on sale.... then complained that they started coming apart after 6 months. You know which line they bought don't you.... ... Or worse yet, got cheap eBay knockoffs.... LockDoc '

Re: Sold American!
running a pro-flo 1 makes it hard to find replacement parts, or the parts are chineseum and last 36 seconds.
didn't want no offshore junk in my crewcab, so spent a couple hrs searching for a new MAP sensor. lo and behold found a NOS sensor from Jim Ellis chevy in Chamblee GA. the sensor must have been there longer than Jim Ellis, cause the part was orig delivered to Ed Morse chevy. anyone from Chamblee know if Jim Ellis bought Ed Morse chevy, cause the addy for Ed Morse comes up at Jim Ellis chevy oh yeah, the part went over 4000 miles before it got to me |

Re: Sold American!
Yeah, what a shame it is. I related to that post myself because I started out in construction wearing those Sears boots and wore them all along till the great American institution named Sears went under.

Re: Sold American!
No No No. You want your tile to come from Italy Seriously, anything made in America is great and good to see. But there was a time when we were the leader in manufacturing and we made great quality. But back then there were certain things other countries were known for and it was ok to source that w/o harming us. It usually meant more expensive, too. Italian shoes, French furs, Swiss watches, Swedish meatballs (), and absolutely nothing from China. Remember import shops? Maybe one in every big city. Now if you say something in an import people will wonder why you even mentioned that, like Big Whoop!

Re: Sold American!
Mmmm these tires were put in my AMX in 1988 . Getting it ready to drive it again . Funny but there are no checks or cracks in the tires but it’s getting new rims and tires . 14 inch rims don’t cut it anymore

Re: Sold American!
Yep. It's criminal what the tire industry has been allowed to do by those who regulate them. I'm sure they enjoy the pleasure of one another's wife. It's ok as long as the date of mfgr is put on the tire. Then it's the customer's fault their tire with little wear blew out and caused injury and damage to their vehicle, possibly others. Pretty slick way to put the public at risk while gaining profits.

Re: Sold American!
Those old Goodyear's sure look good for their age. Made in the day when tires lasted longer than banana's.

Re: Sold American!
There aren’t any cracks even in the treads and they still had air in them not full but far from flat . Don’t think I’d trust them any more than a slow scoot around the block

Re: Sold American!
new swaybar bushings and end links for the wifey's XUV.
bushings are usa, end links were mexican though seems gm uses moog parts. we bought her XUV brand new off the lot in '04, swaybar has never been touched till today. the factory gm bushing is an exact match to the new moog bushing, even has the same part number |

Re: Sold American!
I picked these up in a flea market today. I made a pair of sawhorses about seven years ago. They still work fine but, these saw horse brackets were $3 a pair, so I bought two pair….made in the USA 🇺🇸.
