Need electrical advice

My 71 Burban only starts with mechanics button, not sure if it’s the ignition switch or relay it’s a manual o safety switch I can find hopefully someone can help,

Did it ever start for you or is this an ongoing problem? Year? Coil and points distributor or HEI. A little more information would sure help.

Running fine last summer completely all new tune up plugs wire cap rotor (HEI) then this spring couldn’t start it got my remote button and started right up

Measure the voltage to ground at the solenoid S-terminal with the key in the start position.

Found my issue, after some more running and chasing wires under the dash, I was following the purple wire and found the neutral safety jumper missing. it must have come loose and got kicked out, after locating it under the Burban on the shop floor reinstalled it back in business. thanx for all the suggestions and what to look for ...
