Turlock hot rod swap meet

Turlock CA, swap meet is the 22nd of this month (next Sunday) so any central CA members up for a small meet? It is a one day swap meet, starts at 7:00AM, but anytime would be fine unless you are looking for that special part The truck shop from so Cal will be there, with pretty good deals too. Last time they were there they had blazer tank kits for $160 and full short fleet bedsides for $400.

Anyway, I will probably have the Chevelle with me, the truck is still not finished. Hell it is far from it, but at least it is painted finally. I live in town and always hold a pot luck BBQ afterwards at the house, and bench racing in the garage with beverages of choice Beer, what ever you want to bring.

There will also be a few www.teamchevelle.com members there also, so mix on in and get to know some cool Chevy guys. We all build cars, make 'em go fast so there will be some brains to pick there, so to speak :p

If interested we meet up at the Wal-Mart parking lot off of Fulkerth and 99 about 6:30AM that morning and go in from there. This way we all know who is who when we get in there in case we hang out and get together later.

Understand, don't feel bad these are held a few times a year so there will be plenty more coming up. In fact, January (4 months off yet, where does time go?) is the big 2 day event, so plan on that one if you can. I think there is one in November also, I will post if that holds true.

Jeff, Sunday is *suppose to be* 91 here, lots cooler than it has been this week This morning here at work is much cooler than it has been, the delta breeze is pretty nice. I think it is still in the mid 60's right now, usually it is in the mid 70's by now. So if this keeps up, maybe we are in luck next week.

I will be up at the wally world in the Chevelle, look for a bright red car with the smoke cloud following it If not, I will be in the SSEi, black one.

I will TTT this through out the week, just to see if there are other members who would like to attend.

Yes I'm still smiling from riding in Craig's 70 Chevelle.
I had a great time hanging out with you guys, and can't wait for the next swapmeet. Thanks Jeff, your truck is pretty sweet too.
Next time we meet up, can you take me for a spin in your truck? It was nice meeting all of you guys, and thanks Craig for having me over. That was the best Tri-tip I have every had.
David

Sure David, anytime. I didn't even think of takin' a joy ride in the truck. After Craig's Chevelle it may be a bit of a disappointment! After all, my truck's older than his car........

Hi Jeff,
Sweet. Is Chris going to bring his Chevelle down in October? I don't know, I think my truck is the disapointment. After seeing your truck & Criag's truck, it really motivated me to get my butt in gear to finish my truck. Saturday morning i'm heading up to the Pleasanton Good Guy's to hit the swapmeet, and the vendors for 350 engine parts, and a set of doors. Anyone else going? There's gonna be a sweet minature 1/4 scale engines running on fuel that will be on display.
David

Yes, we allways have a good time and get to swap stories and get to look at everyones rides (motivational tool) the tri tip was awesome, we will make sure to cook up an extra this time for take home. Glad we got you motivated on your truck, it is a long road and alot of work, you seem to be mostly there, just need to get your doors straightened out and get some color on there.

The next one in Oct there will be a few more members attending including one who is a amature brewer and will be brewing a special kegger of ale for us He also has a pro street blown big block Chevelle that is quite the E-ticket ride. He needs to open that sucker up more though, maybe he will toss me the keys and let me have some sideways fun with it, that will clear it out

Thanks for the PM David I will ask them about it and see if that may work for me instead of the ECE kit. If I had the extra $$ it would be on the truck in a new york min, but since $$ is budgeted for the truck I am willing to save every penny I can
