Stand up and be counted!

I am curious as to how many GMC owners ther are here. I own a "59" GMC Fleet option 1/2 ton short bed with only 1 option that can be figured out, and that is a standard heater. Pics of my unfinished truck are at http://community.webshots.com/user/webugly59

Oh yea, I also moved to the brisk area of Breckenridge, MN
Later Jim

I'm the proud owner of a non restored 58 GMC. Hoping to start some progress as soon as it's too cold to be out on the lake!

For some reason I thought there would be more than two of us GMC owners here.

Count me in with a 55 GMC big window.
Half way into a frame-off restoration. Still alot to do, just starting to put it slowly back together.

Well I am to see that there are a few of us here and afew of us there . Sometimes I feel like I am when I post about the GMC's. No guy's. And, no, I am not about it. I like bieng "the odd ball", and to the others who are under taking the thing , I salute you. As Slams had said, or hinted at, WE ARE SPECIAL. Or is it ARE WE SPECIAL? Any way I just wanted to get a feel for "us GMC'ers.
Perhaps we could spout off a few stories of our trucks, or our under taking of the projects invloved in our trucks that some how just worked out to be funny. Slams how do you like the Old GMC site?
Gotta go ya'll
later Jim

I have a 'GMC '57 big window with a big block and 400 tranny. I've got to finish wiring it but my other projects has it on the back burner.
I'll use this '57 as my tow vehicle.

1956 Gmc

Ok You guys you have one more in the loop.
I have a 1956 GMC step side long bed with a big back window. I bought the truck here in Yuma, Az. All torn to pieces. Slowly but sure I've put it back together, and I hope by the end of the week to have it running and driving on the street.

Question for you all is there a diffrence between GMC fenders and Chevy Fenders

Nick

Isn't the GMC fenders different due to the big gmc grille?

the grilles for 58/59 are the same shape and size for both Chevy and GMC. The only difference is the fender emblem mountings

I do believe that PROZAC143 was asking about 1956 Gmc fenders.

I have a 1959 GMC that has been in the family since the early mid 70's, 75 I think. It is a short box step side with a small back window, original 6 cyl and 3 spd on column. I unfirtunately am now considering selling it.

Yes, there are more of us!

1959 GMC 9314, 235 I6, 3 Speed. I have owned it since 1989 and a frame off restoration was completed in July 2003.
