What should I do to the 72'? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I'm considering making some changes with my 72' this winter. I already have Air-Bag suspension, but i want to give the truck a more unique look. What do you guys think? I am considering two options...

1. Old Skool Look - Red painted Steelies with caps, White top, C-notch Rear 3 inches

OR

2. Newwer update - 20" wheels in back and 18" in front, C-notch rear 3", Tinted Glass, Cowl Hood

I would do both. I mean really. You'll spend 2 grand on 20" rims and tires, might as well find some used steelie, powder coat them and put some white walls on.

Steel Wheels In A 18" Front And 20" Rear With Low Pro Rubber On Em.

Going Both Ways Would Be A Waste Of Money, Imo.

You can do what I've done ( sorry no pics) Im getting some 18's and 20's over winter , Ive allready notched mine 3 inches on air too , I got some sotck steelie's blasted and painted em and stuck some some decent rubber , I kow it's tre hobo but I painted on white walls with shoe polish and it looks damn cool for super lo buck so when I get my big wheels I can switch between my wide white , my rally's or my torque thrusts.

depends on how much you like cleaning whitewall ??? they look horrible when there alittle tiny bit brown .....

Yeah that would be cool too. Different, I like that.

I really made my suggestion for both only if you had money to waste. I would rather cruise on 15" steelies and keep the 20s" for show and a few cruises and not be so paranoid about bending my $500 rims. But is 20" was all I had then of course I would drive around with those.

Old school...I like both, but all that white (top and tires) just really jumps out and is different from what everyone else is doing today with the big rims.

The first picture was done by Zumo with Photoshop, I just changed the wheels and lowered it some more with the same program. The second pic I just added the wheels. I'm thinking old-skool it is....Anyone got some steelies and white-walls for me?
