Thumbs up Detailing...

Been working on the truck this past week to get it looking it's best for the Feburary Hagertey's car show in Sebring Florida. There is a group of us going down to be in the show and to watch the vintage races all weekend long. Camaros, Cobra's, Cheeta's, Mustangs and everything else. Couple of before and after of the radiator panels and wheels.
I think it turned out great for it being spray can paint. I put down a base of Gun Metal first then used the Flake and then 3 coats of clear on each. I have to polish the hood panel now.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Clean. The two-tone paint job looks great. And with the rims, I would have never thought painted rims can look that good. You just gave me an idea.

Re: Detailing...

All that detailing looks great. I don't think I've seen the clear flake like that. Great to know. I hope you enjoy the ride and the show.

Thumbs up Re: Detailing...

Got about 10 of us heading down I-95 on 2-22-24 to Ocala to meet up with some others. Spend the night there then drive down to Sebring that Friday. Have a few Ultimate Challenge vehicles going with us also. These 2 are good friends and there are a couple more going.
Do you recognize the barn pictures? That's the barn they used in Days of Thunder where Harry Hide was speaking to the car when he decided to build it. The barn is in Mooresville NC right down the road from Lars house and about 30 minutes away from Dale Earnhardt old shop. We stopped there a few times in the past to get pictures before it falls in but so far it's still standing.

Talking Re: Detailing...

I got the polisher out again and cleaned up the hood panel. It still needs a wheel put on it though but for now it will do.
