1967-1970 c10 with 15x10 rears - what offset?
Hi guys, I have a ‘69 which I understand has a rear that is 0.75” narrower per side than ‘71-72.
I’d like to run a 15x10 rear rally but I’m not sure on the backspacing. I see that 4.0”, 4.25”, 4.5”, and 5.0” are widely available. I don’t like a look that’s too pushed out or too sucked in. What do you recommend? Any pics would be helpful. Thank you. |

Here’s a link to one of many fitment guides.
You can use simple tools or buy a wheel rite like in the link. https://www.chevyhardcore.com/tech-s...els-and-tires/ |

Double check your rear width, you never know if it’s been replaced with the other size.
I don’t recall what rear I have in my 68 (converted to 5-lug at some point by the PO), but I measured carefully and went with a custom backspace through Wheel Vintiques. It’s snug as a bug with 5/8” clear to the wheel wells on the insides.

Thank you!
If anyone has any other pictures of 15x10 with 4.0 - 5.0inches of backspacing, that would be helpful |

How much power do you plan on putting to the ground, or is this just for looks? I responded to your fuel line thread; I think you should take a look at your ultimate goal before buying too many parts. If you want to go full gonzo, it would be nice to know that up front. We can help you with that, in many ways.

Re: 1967-1970 c10 with 15x10 rears - what offset?
I just put some 15x10 with 5.25" BS on my '72 with the wider rear end. I have also removed the inner fender which let me run so low with only 1/2" between tire and fender. Your backspace will be more critical the lower you go. If you're tucking tire then you have to pretty much nail the BS because squeezing a tire that wide between the inner and outer fender doesn't leave you much clearance.

Long term (5yr) plans will include power however - I’m guessing somewhere in the neighborhood of 500rwhp For the coming years, I hope to get very familiar with the 250 that’s in there now (assuming I can get it running) |
