which sway bar for our trucks?
Which front sway bar is best for my stock height 67 C10 with V8? I like Early Classic's beefy 1.250 dia. but do they require drilling the "A" arms to attach the bushings that secure the ends of the bar.
The ones from LMC are smaller but have the ends with holes to attach bolts and sleeve\bushing assemblies to a arms. I've seen pics of this install on this site before. Anyone have a particular preference? thanks, Bill

I installed the ECE sway bar on my '72 with no drilling required since the sway bar was optional equip. Don't know if the '67 has the drilled lower control arms or not. When installing the bushing brackets on the frame, it is necessary to cut and punch out a rivet on the front cross member.

Go to a junk yard and get one for $25 or so, then buy new rubber bushings. Be sure to get all of the brackets when you buy the bar. You may need a chisel to bust off the rivets at the junkyard. Like Sweet72 said, you'll have to grind off a couple rivets on your frame to install the brackets on your truck, but it's a simple, worthwhile addition.

Thanks again, Bill

Check TxFirefighter's Sway Bar FAQ on the FAQ page. Lots of good info!
