I appreciate it yall! Patina certainly makes me happy, mainly because working in a garage you end up with all kinds of random stuff bumping it, so to not have to worry is real nice

Right! I originally was going to leave everything all original / worn, but I since have replaced the grill emblem, door emblem and fender emblem with new repops, and honestly the contrast is rather nice having some clean new chrome

I like the hub caps! I prefer seeing some of the white wheel, looks great against the paint color

Hubba-bubba caps all the way! The only thing I'd consider would be some old school slotted mags if you can find a set.

I'm always partial to the 67-68 po1 caps. More uncommon and they look great.

Re: My 1967 Build (Finally)

Its been a bit since Ive been on here - my apologies to those who follow along!

Ive had a lot of personal issues that just have prevented me from getting in the garage regularly, along with side jobs and stuff around the house needing sorted (building a deck is terrible - I hate wood!) and the brakes giving me the issues they were was quite demotivating. Especially since I work on my own, so getting someone over to help bleed, while it may sound simple, in my case can be difficult. BUT I plan to soon get on this, and get the roof painted and hopefully have it on the road. I hope to have more updates for yall soon.

Hoping to have the roof done soon, really motivated after a bit of some time off, those brakes that I was fighting were really taking the wind from me. Soon!

Re: My 1967 Build (Finally)

Though the videos are much better - here are some pics.

I finally took the truck on a drive, the first drive for this body in about two years, and the first drive for this chassis/motor in about 10 years. It felt amazing to drive this truck. It has been so long since I have driven a C10, let alone this one, it just was probably the best feeling I could have. Took it one street over (I have no radiator fan, the place I ordered from keeps telling me "next week" every time). So I will install the mechanical and just keep off the AC for now when I take longer drives and do some shakedown. Cant wait to paint the roof, install the back window and maybe do some pinstriping to it. Excited is an understatement!

Drove the truck to work to do some shakedown... drives pretty good, just have some small stuff to figure out in the future and need to get the EFI tuned. Stoked!

That’s so cool. There’s nothing like feeling one you’ve gone through on the road.

Its quite a different feeling - knowing what all has been done and changed, it makes the drive perspective much more different.

Appreciate it! It is such a weird sight to see it sit on the side at my work, or to go jump in it to go home. It really is amazing how when its in the garage you start questioning if you like what you've done or changed, and when you get it on the road that all goes away.

Glad to have finally met you - by accident too! Funny how when I go out of state I always end up meeting more people I know than when I am in state! If you need any help with your project just let me know!

Re: My 1967 Build (Finally)

This past weekend I went and picked up a Harbor Freight purple gun to spray some epoxy on the truck - it came out surprisingly well. I have a few Devilbiss guns from my dad, but was given the advice of using the HF gun, apparently the epoxy can ruin the gun and if not very experienced on cleaning its easy to do. So I'd rather hurt my $29 gun than kill my dads nice units. For my first time back behind the gun in over 4 years (probably more like 6), I was surprised how quickly it came back. Its epoxy obviously so it is going to be body worked over and then high build will be applied. Lots of stuff to do on this roof to make it nice!
