Smile Remote Door Locks

I just purchased a 1998 GMC serria SLE, short box extended cab. It seems to be loaded, but I bought is used and I was wondering if this model came with remote door locks, and if so where can I get remotes. Is there a way to check?? Thanks for any help..

On the OBDII connector under the dash, turn the key to on position (do not start). Ground the top far right pin. hold it for a second and the door locks will lock and unlock if you have factory keyless. If not you will have to use an add on kit.
You can get the remotes on eBay for about $10-$15 each. DO NOT go to the dealership, you will end up paying over $100

Thanks for your help. I found that if you call a dealer they can run the VIN # and give you a print out of all options on your truck..COOL. this truck did not come with remote locks, I found that an after market alarm is much cheaper to have installed with the lock option installed..

Yeah, the dealer can do that too.
You can get some good deals on eBay on alarms. Thought about a remote start?

For future reference the OBDII connector is mounted on the forward edge of the bottom of the dash. It is where the scan tools plug in.
