What gets you talking to yourself while wrenching on your ride? You know, stuff like sockets rolling to perfectly centered under the oilpan... One of mine has to be when starting/loosening a nut or bolt that is too hard to turn by hand but doesn't have enough tension to make your ratchet function. #@*%!!

Mine is crawling up underneath the car only to realize the tool you need isnt there with you. I need a son (aka tool fetcher) bad!

Mine is when some 'Mr. Know-it-all' starts pointing out that his dad, grandad, etc... had the same something in his old farm truck, even though what you have in there was never an option in your year truck....you just added it 'cause you liked it. (For example, the early '90s steering wheel many of us have, or the disc brakes, or the rear mounted fuel tank...). Making up some lame story about how his dad, grandad, etc...had to special order it and it was the first one ever ordered that way. **B/S**

Mine has got to be going to a parts house for something insanely simple, and having to give them year, engine,2 or 4 bbl, auto or standard,6 or 8,color,would you like fries with that?, when what you asked for was an r45ts plug or a pf141 filter. I REALLY miss the old time parts men, (the good one's anyway)

My wife taking her car to tha mechanic. She knows it bugs the crap outta me, so shell push my buttons & say shes gunna take it in when Im wrenching on it. That & doing something like spending 2 days replacing an entire fuel system (lines, pump, filter, rebuilt carb, blew out tank oriface) for what seemed like a fuel starvation problem to learn that the problem was one damned little yellow ignition wire off of the starter.

bumpster mine is exactly the same. i went to autozone and asked the lady for a flex radiator hose and she told me there is no such thing.....i could see them hanging behind her....i just walked out and went across the street to orielly's.

lol @ parts stores. Go in and ask for something simple like a set of valve cover gaskets...you end up having to tell them what size transmission, 2 or 4 bbl. Gets really annoying.

Ever crawled under a truck or car that was just close enuff to the ground that you cant turn over on your side...start to look for a tool you just had 1 min ago, and find out somehow you ended up laying on top of it. Then have to slide out from under the vehicle just to get the tool.

Socket or a small part falls off & bounces somewhere but not on the ground & you can't see it. Like down the intake, or down in a boxed-in frame rail.

Or people who pull out in front of you so you have to hit the brakes, & then go 100 yards & stop to take a left. And there was nobody behind you.

mine seems to be whenever I am checking the fluids etc on my truck or car, I will always be a little low. Like I will only have 4 qts of oil, or only half a jug of antifreeze when you need the whole thing. grrr

parts stores are annoying too, and its even worse because I am 20. the people that work in there (i mean the ones that are older than me, which is about half of them) think I am mentally deficient, and try to get more $ than the part is worth. I will never forget the time AutoGroan tried to charge me one hundred and some odd dollars for the 2 front rubber brake hoses

give me a f**king break

It HAS to be: Stock tranny pans that don't have DRAIN PLUGS!!!!!!

Not having the right tool for some obscure task and fighting like mad to work around it knowing fully well that with the right tool you'd have been done an hour and a half ago already!

Driving: People that drive right up next to somebody else and equalize speed, creating a wall that you can't get around either of them. They are the ones that are always going snail slow! And, while I'm at it, the OTHER person that the original dummy paces, but doesn't speed up or slow down to create separation either!

I hate it when I drop a socket between the rad and air conditioning rad when working on my brother's car...

Also hate it when something that should be a simple bolt up swap turns into a 2 day major fabrication project.

I hate when someone comes over and starts talking to you while your working on something and are struggling with it and just continues talking and doesnt offer help it pisses me off even more when its their ride im workin on.
