1960 GMC 3/4 ton 5 speed manual convert
I am going to replace the V6 in this truck and put a 5 speed transmission manual. The issue is the fact that this thing has the E brake on the trans. What is the best choice for this upgrade? I do not mind keeping the brake in the floor. Just not sure which trans is best to use.

Not a T5, right? A TKO or something like that?

Try a Driveline brake or pinion brake setup

Re: 1960 GMC 3/4 ton 5 speed manual convert
pretty sure NV4500 out of the 10 lug 3500HD's had driveline brake on them in nearly same location, would just have to adapt the lever or put in a different one.
Wanted to add I think the 5spd P series bread trucks used same style. |
