So I drove Ol' Blue down to the marina park Saturday...
"Ol Blue":
Just sat there, listening to the AM radio (KFI Los Angeles) and trying to mellow out on the peacefulness of the San Diego bay, with the glinting reflections of sunshine off the water..... And had three different guys come up and start a conversation. About the truck. About politics. About their dad's truck...I greeted them warmly. Us old car guys are the good guys, right? Yes, it's a '65. Ya, it was originally green. Yep, just got new tires! Runs like a top! Wow, the inside is really nice! Never paint it! Wanna sell it? Just part of ownership, I guess. I grew up with these trucks. Feel comfortable driving them. I hope when I croak somebody will keep this old truck running.
