Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Wife and I went to Sedona, AZ for 6 days to celebrate her 63rd birthday. Beautiful country down there.
Boog, she and I talk about cleaning out our closet too, but never seem to get at it. We have been together for 32 years and still have some of the same clothes that we are wearing in 32 year old pictures around here...
CG, I have a brother 12 years younger than me and we aren't close either with that many years between. Funny thing is, his wife is the same age as mine.... I, too, got married, had a kid and got divorced by the time he graduated from HS. Come to think of it, I got divorced the same year my current wife graduated from college.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I’ve been collecting vintage water slide decals for a long time and i also have accumulated some stickers (different from water slides). In the process of going through endless (seems like) totes I’ve been turning up a bunch of my stickers. Where to put? Oh yeah I’ve seen you guys putting them on your tool boxes. Here’s where I’m at so far. Not sure if I’ll ever put water slides on though. They are pretty old and not sure how they’ll hold up if I dip them in water.

Put wrong picture up lol … sec

I'd be interested in seeing some of your vintage water slides if you'd care to share.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

This past June, I installed a mini-split A/C in my shop. It is on a side that rain/snow falls from and was concerned about a heavy snow coming down at once and smashing the compressor/condensing unit on the wall. I built an awning to deflect the snow/rain and lag bolted it to 2 of the posts.

We made a run to Gardnerville for the Coffin Races. Awesome fun family event! Great food and LOTS of smiles! The Nutcracker team did well in multiple heats, but the Clampers had a tough time of it. A high speed crash into the bales put them out of contention. I'm thinking a tad to much adult beverage may have contributed to their demise! Hope they have better luck at the Outhouse races in Virginia City.

It doesn't do that to me anymore, though.

Elsewise, I went to the Habitat ReStore and bought an antique French Country buffet for $300 after multiple markdowns, as it has been there for a couple of years. I've seen them online for over $6k, but this one needs refinishing, which I can do. Can't buy the new wood for that kind of money, let alone the carving that has been done to it.
Can we see a picture of your purchase?

It's apart in the garage with some finish applied to the top of the base. I'll be done with it a few days. But here's a pic of one for sale on the internet. Mine has different carved pieces applied, and the center door on the top cabinet has glass instead of more carving.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

A nice day in the mid 70's here. Darn nice for this area. Grass is a little tall and still a little damp, I need to mow. Got the strip on the backside of our fence mowed, its on the small main road. Got the part of the front yard the neighbors can see mowed. Then the chute clogged up, so irritating. Unclogged, tried to disengage the brake, no can do. Mower starts fine and blades engage fine, just cant go anywhere. Let it cool down, fiddled with this and that and finally got the brake off. Fired it up, hit the button to engage the blades, wont engage. Fiddled with it for a few minutes, no luck. Drove to back of house and parked it, didnt engage the brake. All the lawn that can be seen was mowed so I called it. Sometime you gotta walk away lol.
