Sometimes you just have to grind the rolled edge off when the rivet wants to spin in the hole

Now into the vinegar bath and vibration for a day

Re: PO has me PO'd

Hi Jim I couldn't find those rivets so I purchased small stainless screws and nylocks and then I think later I found some small rivets but have not used them yet let me look tomorrow as for the foam it went out yesterday should be more than enough for 2 vents ....no worries about the postage you have done enough for folks on this board and typically with the pay forward position you take ....happy to help

Thanks Zic, I was considering screws and nuts. I feel like it would be a better way of compressing the foam material

Thanks for paying it forward

Where are going to store your new truck she looks great as it is

Dude you need an enclosed car hauler…….lol or a taller ceiling for a car rack

Found the closest screw to be a 6/32

I found it easiest to use an old hacksaw blade to separate the two halves

Seems like they only rust on the bottom 1/3, canidate for a weep hole. In for a 2 day bath, same the process takes the OEM finish off, inside were spotless

Been pondering this problem for a while, tuner wants actual under hood temps.instead of manifold temps. So I need to make a bracket to hold the air sensor, problem is finding a nut for the sensor looks like NPT
Never heard of npt nuts

Original mud still on fire wall

Re: PO has me PO'd

What kind of air filter/ air intake are you going to use?

Seems unconventional to want under hood temps instead of intake temps.

But, you could always drill and tap some thicker material to screw the temp sensor in

Still trying to decide, any suggestions

He’s been at it along time and well known in the salt flats community so I trust his advice and knowledge

I’ve been looking for thinking material hard to find

Thanks for the advice and have a happy holiday season
