I think maybe I was a bun in the oven. Might have been keeping the rents awake also . Hard telling.

1972 - Soiling myself, most likely, and trying to master that walking thing. It really doesn't sound a whole lot different than today.

LOL, this is a great thread! I see many of you weren't even the glint in the milkman's eye yet. I was 11 yrs old in 1970, recently moved from Battle Creek, Mi. to North Bay, Ont. (airforce brat). I guess I remember a bit of trouble and strife living 100 miles from Detroit. But I was too busy being a kid.

1972 I remember it like yesterday. I was 23 years young. Rocking to the 8 track. First tape I bought was The Guess Who.

I was in high school at the time. I remember driving my dad to the chevy dealer to look at trucks. He negotiated a deal on the 69 and drove it home that day. It's been in the family ever since. I inherited it after he passed away many years ago. My 17 year old son is driving it to high school now. So far, it's gone through 3 generations. Who knows, Maybe someday his son will be driving it? That's what I love about a classic.

I was still doin' time, I had about six months left in the womb! My uncle had just gotten back from Williams AZ where he picked up my '67 from the dealer there in December. Then he was off to Vietnam. Grandad owned the truck till he passed away and I bought it last year from Grandma to keep it in the family. Funny thing about it though I fell in love with the truck, and these trucks in general, After I bought it.

I was 9 in '67, and I remember my-a life long chevy man-*****in' every time he saw one. Not at the whole truck, just that 'useless' tiny back window. Those cheapskate no good money grubbin' SOB's can't even give a guy a decent sized window! That's when the rebel in me decided I would have one first chance I got. And I did, in about '79 or so. I still have the back half (truck bed trailer). The year my '68 was born, I was a year older and Dad was convinced that all his *****in' had somehow shamed G.M. into fixing that travisty in the back of the cab.

In 67 I was on a extended vacation in a place called CuChi, working on helicopters instead of trucks.

My trucks are 67's & I was born in '73. I was a few eggs up the chain & my dad was thinking "I think we need to have a boy, these two girls I've had so far have been nothing but trouble." & that was it & shortly thereafter, along I came. The first time I sat in my green '67 was 1980 & I & my uncle drove to the water treatment plant that he managed in town - Kenton, Manitoba.
