![]() Our Chevy is doing well. Last summer we drove it quite a bit because there were so many rainy days here. Now the Chevy has been in the garage all winter (about 7 months). A year ago, we were with Chevy at Finland's biggest car show in Helsinki. There was no trophy. How are you?

The bottom of the car is now protected from rust and painted to look like the original.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
I had a 7-month break in building this (other projects took time). Now I have tried again to start working on this car. Really slow work because I want every part to look like it was new.

Nice to hear that someone is interested in such an old BMW. Restoring this is just so slow as every little part has to be restored in some way. Have a nice spring to you.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
Update again after a long time.
The engine block is now painted and the aluminum parts are glass bead blasted.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
I ported the cylinder head many years ago, but now I aligned the intake manifold to the cylinder head.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
Looks like you getting to the point where you can bolt parts on and not take them off again! Good for you. And the days are getting longer but having said that we live in west central MN and we just got 8"-10" (200mm-250MM)LOL of wet heavy snow. And I just last week I took the plow off my LS swap Wrangler. I jinxed the whole upper mid-west snow wise!

Hello LS short box! Sorry for the late reply. You have a really nice LS swap Wrangler. Now the Wrangler won't run out of power even if it snows a lot. ![]() I've had another half year break from restoring this BMW, but hopefully I'll have more time for it when winter comes.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
Thanks Rickysnickers! Today I continued the restoration a bit after a six-month break. Hopefully I'll have time to continue the restoration all winter.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
It's been another six months since I last worked on this BMW. Hopefully I'll be able to continue the restoration work this winter.
Rust repair on A pillar.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
New stronger clutch installed. Yesterday my brother came to help me install the engine back into the car.
Today I installed the cardan shaft and tried to install the new exhaust manifold but it doesn't fit right, so I have to modify it to get it to fit properly.

Cool project & very impressive sheetmetal repairs! The drivetrain has turned out very nice as well.

It's good to see things coming together. You've done some impressive body work and mechanical work on that car.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
Thank you very much SCOTI! I trying to do my best, but it is so slow because I want everything to look like new. I have now built a larger exhaust system and will post pictures of it here soon.
