Windshield Repair Panels

Has anyone used these? Why would it be '81 and up, not '73 and up? It would be nice if the sold just the windshield post on either side for a hundred bucks or so, that is what I see mostly in need of repair down here on the Gulf Coast.

Re: Windshield Repair Panels

i generally cut them outta a trashed cab theyre plentiful if you know how to do the work and have the tools its pretty easy on edit there may be a difference because of the cowl with 73-80 and 81-87 but im sure either would work with mods

Re: Windshield Repair Panels

The only difference that matters is the bolt pattern for the windshield wiper transmissions is 2-bolts in the 73-80 cowl and 3-bolts in 81-91 squarebody cowls. You can redrill for the other pattern. There are also extra slots in the 81-91 cowl where the hood hinges mount on top of the cowl that 73-80 did not have.
