Re: The 1960 - 1966 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups Factory Correct Restoration Thread

Is there a lot of air restriction when using the factory style "non oil bath" air cleaners as apposed to the aftermarket type that just have a base and a lid and the filter is visible all the way around?

Yes they are the same white. The bumper and front grill and surrounding border are originally Cameo White or Off White (depending on year) same colors for them both.

Thanks 1966K10, I will go with Gloss and maybe take the wire wheel to the nuts and hit them with Clear.

Ron
Thanks Ron for that, in reading it I learned something new: it says for mirrors, the “mirror brackets are body color; mirror backs are black” (Trim colors all series except R10)
I have always seen in the old literature photos the mirrors and frames are same white as bumper- see 1966K10’s photo of the red truck. Anyone have feedback on that? I think the only truck I have ever seen with that color combo is this photo here (not mine)
