Re: 1960 Apache K10 build

I had a little bit of cab rust to repair, but that was minor. And I am sure we have all seen enough of that on here, so I am not going to post any pictures of that.
I cleaned up the new cab, and gave it a quick rattle can to match the rest of the truck. I tried as best as I could to mimic the natural patina that the original cab had. And overall, I think it turned out okay.
I also decided to make myself a little cab dolly, so I could move the cabs around my tiny shop. I would highly recommend doing this. While I had the cab on the dolly, I hung the inner fenders and rad support so I could fit all of my air conditioning parts. It made it so nice to be able to crawl in the engine bay with no frame rails or engine to fight with. I got most of the fab and fit up for my AC parts done while it was like this. I just had a few hoses to final crimp once I had it on the truck, and a few wires to run.

Re: 1960 Apache K10 build

With the new cab painted up and ready to go, I started to swap everything over.

Do you ever get the feeling like you’re seeing double?!?!?
