Borg Warner Overdrive?
i bought this harness for the overdrive installed on a NP 205. Does anyone know if this harness fits this unit? Where do these connections go? Also would like to know how to operate it. I never used one before.

Re: Borg Warner Overdrive?
There's a couple different threads out there for the Borg Warner R10 overdrives. I do not have any experience with these in 67-72 trucks (although I am keeping an eye out for one) but I do in other older makes. You will accelerate to speed in first gear, then once you let off it will shift into first overdrive. Once you shift it will shift out of overdrive and back into direct for your second gear. Then when you let out it will shift into second over. Then the same with third. This is how all of the older Hudsons, some of the 50's Fords, and other various manufacturers work. And from what I have read from those that have experience with these int he 67-72 Chevy trucks, how they work.

Re: Borg Warner Overdrive?
Get the repair manual for the R10 and peruse information here: https://fifthaveinternetgarage.com/
I have one of these R10s waiting to go on my Dana 20 and a couple more for use with the Spicer 18. All the have Rancho brand adapters. I was planning to manually write everything since I have no harness but the diagrams are easy to find to get you started.

Re: Borg Warner Overdrive?
Got a new question. How do I find what gear I need for the governor? Remove speedo drive and check mesh or count teeth on tranny gear through governor hole? TIA
