Intermitent wiper always on
Hi all,
I have a 90 burb 5.7 r1500 and the wipers are alwyas on. I had to disconnect the wiper module to get it to stop. I found a few on ebay and both I bought lasted for a day or 2 and then were always on. What am i missing? Thanks

Re: Intermitent wiper always on
Very likely most 35 year old modules are failing the same way. Probably a bad capacitor that is part of the timing circuit. Take one of the dead ones apart and see if any capacitors are showing signs of leakage or bulging.
Also check for burn marks on the circuit board. Possible the wiper motor is drawing too much current. Enough to burn out the board, not enough to blow the fuse. |
