4L80E transmission in 1969 c10
Thinking about sticking a 4L80E transmission into my 69 Panel truck and since most everything is same as gtruck and nobody answered in Panel section/
Wondering and taking lazy route, Will it fit w/o tunnel haing to be cut and enlarged. Know driveshaft will be cut. Haver to build crossmembers to tailshaft mount. That all easy enough and since cutting hell out of everything else to repair rust crap. Cutting tunnel probably just another job. Just like to haver parts on hand and frteady to go in before ci=utting into it. Fit as is or brake put the saw all?

Re: 4L80E transmission in 1969 c10
I just recently purchased my 72 C-10 that has a 350 with a 4L80 and as far as I know it wasn't cut. (Haven't seen any indication myself) The truck originally had a 292 but not sure of the tranny. Now it's a floor shift with tilt steering.
Good Luck! |

I installed a 4l80 in my blazer. It’s 4wd but I simply moved the engine forward. You may be able to do the same. All my stock drivelines fit.

You'll need a computer for the 4l80e. Means, if you don't want to deal with the computer, use a 4l80/700R4 for you overdrive tranny.

Put a 4L80 in my 73 best thing I've done.
Hgm electronics controller Control shift time/firmness/lockup from your phone via Bluetooth

Re: 4L80E transmission in 1969 c10
My understanding is that the 4l80e fits under the high hump trucks that came with 4spds or TH400. The low hump trucks it fits better if you cut and install the high hump.
