Hydroboost and my ‘74

I have an ‘89 1 ton with hydroboost and a ‘74 with manual brakes..

Looking at the ‘89 it looks like it should bolt up to the ‘74.. maybe?

I know I can buy a kit but how hard is it to piece hydroboost together out of rock auto? I’ll make my own lines so that’s an easy button. The brake rod might be an issue but I think that’s not too hard to fab.

Anything else I’m missing or something else I should be thinking?

Re: Hydroboost and my ‘74

you'll have to at least source the firewall bracket used. pedal is slightly different also.

Re: Hydroboost and my ‘74

So I suppose this is where I crawl under the dash and have a look..

Is the bracket for the pedal and/or is it a brace? Was hoping to re-use my pedal and figure out the rod after that.

FYI:
The kits I see do not have a pedal but I do see the interior bracket.

Re: Hydroboost and my ‘74

the hydroboost bolts to a bracket that bolts onto the firewall.
