Contnued Horn question.

I think I am slowly figuring out how to get my horn to work. I have CPP tilt wheel with am Eversharp steering wheel. The black wire has continuity to a black wire under the dash. I have a green wire running to my horn and a ground wire off the horn. I don't think that needs to be there? I think I need a relay to get it to work. I also just guessed which terminal I used on the steering wheel. As usual almost all my issues are self inflicted. Thanks for any help AND part numbers !!

Mike

Re: Contnued Horn question.

Two terminals on the horn switch. One connects the wire going to the wiper pin. The other would connect to a ground screw in the wheel adapter. All the horn button is doing when pressed is grounding the wire going down column to the horn relay.

Re: Contnued Horn question.

Maybe you need more help than I posted? Attached a horn wiring diagram. Outlined the horn relay in red. It is located above and slightly to right of fuse panel. The black is the ground which goes up the column and is switched by the horn button. Red goes to fuse panel +12v. Green goes to the horn/horns. They are grounded by the mounting point. The horn button will work no matter which terminal is connected to the wiper or ground. Hope this helps.
