My 86 K10 SWB
This my 86 K10 build. I've had the truck for about a year and haven't done much to it. I have done some interior work on it and power window/lock work on it. I have a Dakota digital dash and an old air kit to install on it.

Re: My 86 K10 SWB
I will. I think I'll enjoy it more when I get the a/c and dash all done. I did a little on it today. I put the speed sensor on the transmission. I'm going from cable drive to wire. I think that it may not work tho. My cable was broken and frayed and the sensor has a square drive pin on it and Im not so sure that the square hole it was supposed to go in was tight enough on it. We'll see. I also put the a/c vent in on the drivers side. I took out the old wiring that someone put in for an aftermarket stereo. Luckily they used an adapter for the wiring so it just was left alone. The stock stereo I got from HartRob had cut wires and it's going to be easy to hook up. For now Im going to use two 6x9s only. He also included a bluetooth adapter so I can play music off my phone hopefully. My hole for the radio is butchered so I'll have to find a replacement for that.

Re: My 86 K10 SWB
Well I got the ac installed mostly. I bought an Old air brand system this time and won't do it again. There are too many changes to the motor bracket install so I ordered a Vintage Air brand bracket off of eBay instead.I also ordered a radio patch panel from LS fab but had to work on it too. I still have to cut and crimp two ac hoses and get the right belt for it. The gauge install is getting closer. Im going to run new wires to my sending unit on the gas tank and they'll be ready to go in.

Re: My 86 K10 SWB
I got the a/c lines cut, crimped, and buttoned up. New radiator hoses on and a/c belt on. I tried to take the drivers side gas tank down and that didn't work out. I think I'll have to take the bed loose and move it back some to get to the lines. I ordered some electrical fusebox connectors so I can properly power up the a/c system and gauges. While waiting for those to come in I started on the leaks that the truck has. It's going slow but steady.

Re: My 86 K10 SWB
Thanks. I took the aluminum trim off of the tailgate and cleaned it up, knocked a dent out of it. I painted the black around the edge and cleared it all. I bought a Chevrolet nameplate (used) off of eBay and put it all back on. It looks a lot better than it did. It was cloudy looking and dull looking. I wasn't about to spend $500 on a new one. This is good enough for this beater. A before and after pic.
