55.2-59 GMC Chev Hoods - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I know that there were many differences between Chevrolet and GMC hoods from 55-57, but what about 58-59? I found a really nice GMC hood for my Chevy and I was wondering if it was just a matter of swapping the emblem on it.

Did a search, but didn't see anything.

and, of course, GMC hoods have a big hole in the front where the emblem was placed.

Hmmm, you have me taking a look at my 59 GMC. Just looked at it only has 4 about 3/16 inch holes in front for the GMC emblem thru pins. No big hole.

58-59 hoods dont have the hole I guess.
