Billet Hood Hinge

Decisions decisions. Which do you like better. I want to add billet hood hinges to my 55 with a 57 hood. Eddie Motorsports or All American Billet.

I like both brands but went with Eddie based on feedback from others’ experience. No regrets. Look great, smooth, and no misalignment during open or close action. Great product. Just know that your full up position is not quite as high as OEM

I SWORE I would not spend the money to put billet hinges on my '55. But everything else looked so good I couldn't stand to put stock hinges back on. I went with the Eddie Motorsports ones. So far they have worked fine for the about 7-8 years they've been on the truck.

Wow 7 - 8 years that is testament in itself. Dan I noticed in your picture you have the Holley EFI. I have been wanting to add that to my ride as well.

Dan, that looks great.. can’t imagine you not having those billet hinges with your other goodies. Bought mine “on sale” from Brothers Trucks back when they had good sales because I didn’t like the price of Eddie hinges either. Brothers has since sold out to Holley and are no longer a good truck source from what I can tell.

Re: Billet Hood Hinge

That's the kind of answer one looks for and with a great photo to boot. I'm not a big billet fan but those fit and work as a complimentary component in that engine compartment. Lots of tricks but everything works together as one complete package. Then you start picking out all the individual trick details.

Dan, I looked at your build again. Awesome truck. Where did you find the polished stainless steel hood braces.
