Is this windshield gasket gap normal?
The top corners have small gaps. Bottom corners are tight. I suspect the galss has to get pulled and the gasket pushed up???

Normal body imperfections.. Apply sealant between the gasket and body, and between the glass and gasket to prevent air and water leaks.

The glass is not seated fully. The gasket/seal shoud NOT be bubbled out like that, it should lay flat and the glass should sit flush with the sheetmetal.

Re: Is this windshield gasket gap normal?
I remember the old fella install my windshield and the last thing he did was give it a big wallop that seated the gasket. Both hands out and a real good push. I thought it was going to break and I am sure I gasped for air.

Re: Is this windshield gasket gap normal?
I pulled the windshield, set the truck in the sun, pushed the top corners in as best I could, and reinstalled. All good now. Those corners must have been just slightly off. 3 hr job but worth it.
