What a weekend

This weekend was the true test of my winter of upgrades. We put 400 miles on over a course of three days, Thursday was a Poker Run, Friday was the first day of the Goodguys CarShow in Puyallup Wa. Today was the main event. And today is where it went south quickly, we were in line waiting for the gates to open the fan belt broke and we overheated real bad, steam rolling out, radiator puking everything,. Luckily we were saved by two different guys, one actually towed us to a spot out of traffic, and then a member of one the Northwest C10s was unbelievable gracious and gave up his spare Fan Belt, I can’t thank him enough. We made it to a parking spot to get settled, after refilling the radiator the rest of the day she ran at a constant 180, stupid fan belt almost cost me a lot of grief and money.
All in all very happy with the upgrades, the TH350 and new suspension are game changers. The next upgrade has to be power steering a few more cruises and I’ll end up with arms like Arnold

Re: What a weekend

Good to hear your hard work has paid off. For the price of a fan belt you made some new friends. All the folks in the NW C10 group I've met have been great folks.

Re: What a weekend

Ive seen NW C10 stickers on trucks around here but it looks like they are only on Instagram and Facebook. Not something Im really interesting in doing, but may have to since our board group of people that get together has gone from lots to just shy of nothing. Glad they helped you get sorted.
