Re: Asking for pictures of genuine “Patina” trucks.

It came poorly painted black over the yellow. I did sand off the mostly rough stuff and just gloss coated it with the Poppys. I love it! Stays cleaner much longer and keeps the rust from growing too fast.

Re: Asking for pictures of genuine “Patina” trucks.

Poly Vermillon. I am the 2nd registered owner. It was bought new at Stedelbauer Chev/Olds Edmonton Alberta on March 30th 1967. I have the original POP and Owners Manual as well as one original key. Last Summer I drove it 36 hrs and 2000 miles from Southern Ontario to Edmonton Alberta.

Re: Asking for pictures of genuine “Patina” trucks.

My 1971 here. I have replaced the cab corners and rockers and did some custom patina paint matching on them, other than that it's all original. I am the second registered owner and the truck came out of southern Utah.

These pictures are from after I laid on a coat of Sweet Patina and so far I like the way it looks and is holding up.

Very nice. Is that original dash pad and seat covers? And tow hooks.

Re: Asking for pictures of genuine “Patina” trucks.

When I bought this truck in 2014 it was a bare bones solid truck, low option 283. I've had 2 other 67 factory CST trucks for inspiration but sadly they had issues. I decided to assemble a CST on this platform of a truck to my version of what, knowing what I know now, if I could have ordered it new. Through this forum and countless swap meets I have researched and sourced parts to make this my truck. The buddies had to be custom ordered in the fawn. The dash pad is new but custom dyed to as close to original as I could. One tow hook was bought off this site and the mate to it was bought local after a tip from a member here.
