93 K20: ECM & Tranny Wiring Questions
I've got a 1993 K20 chassis and drivetrain underneath a 72 body - I bought the truck as an incomplete project. I'm cleaning up the wiring and installing a Dakota Digital dash and assorted DD modules. 5.7L TBI and 4spd electronic tranny with a manual transfer case.
I have a couple lingering questions about what may have been hacked out or left unplugged by the PO, and what additional ECM inputs I'm going to need to make it run properly. There is a single green wire/connector that looks like it would have been for a coolant temp warning light - the CTS and wiring is intact. I'm assuming I can just delete this wire as I'm using the DD dash. In the same bundle of wires near the thermostat is a brown wire that's been cut - not sure what that was for. And, should there be a purge solenoid? The way I got it, the canister is direct to the TBI base. Cheers

Re: 93 K20: ECM & Tranny Wiring Questions
That is a cool truck. The wiring diagram is available on this site, in this forum, in the FAQ post. here is a link to the thread https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=700011 I looked at it briefly but 307 pages will take some time to find the one or two you need.
I had to look up purge solenoid... I have an '88 and '90 truck. The charcoal cannister has a line to the fuel tank and a line to the TBI base, no purge solenoid on those years.
