Thanks! Starting to see more of them. Fits the euro theme I was shooting for. (may not be obvious, as I missed some key timing)

It was quick and it shows. No bigs as I don't have to worry about the 1st blemish. Already done! LOL

Re: Want to see a Corvair thread?

Have a neighbor who has a tire mount and balancer. He is willing
but working long hours for the post office. Another friend offered
and I took him up on it.
Funny I mounted 2 w/o tools. Way harder than the YouTube video
shows! Still sore!

Re: Want to see a Corvair thread?

Thats a great look!

Found this pic of my Corvair, I have others but they need to be flipped and Im too lazy to overly hijack your thread right now (maybe later haha). Most likely will never do anything with it. Im down to one 67-72 truck now, just sold my panel and it feels pretty good not to have so much stuff.

Thanks! My goal is a "euro" look. No Chevrolet or Corvair emblems on the body just "Monza" I feel the wheels fit.

Re: Want to see a Corvair thread?

My own project that I started six months ago is also air-cooled. I bought a 1957 King Midget to restore. I'm well along in my restomod process and need to start up a thread here soon.

I'm having FUN as well. Your ride is looking really nice!

Nice! I'm still at a snails pace. Not much post worthy. Am currently fabbing (or fighting) a hood latch cable to take place of the old lock cylinder. For the trunk or frunk.

Re: Want to see a Corvair thread?

Been pretty slack on the project, lots of doctor appointments. Surgery tomorrow! What little I have done is work on adapting a Chevy truck hood release cable to work in my Corvair.
Still working out the bugs on that. Not as simple as my minds eye showed me. LOL. Sorry for another sideways pic.

Re: Want to see a Corvair thread?

Love the Keystones!
Surgery went ok? 1% chance of a brain bleed. Guess who got a brain bleed? Sick from the meds, went from 11 to 2 meds. Feeling much better! No Corvair progress. Hopefully soon! Do I post scar pics?

Back to working out (at a local gym) also making small progress on the car. Got to scuff and paint the edges where the headliner meets the inner roof (edge)

Re: Want to see a Corvair thread?

Special tools time!
Finally got the welder out and it's clear that I have no business welding.
My neighbor who welds took it to his work to redo.
Better pics after he is done.
Looking forward to bolting the case halves together for a little plasti gauge time.
