I wish I could make something like that work. Even in my workshop painting what I did so far, keeping the dust down was a challenge for me.

Re: 1970 Blazer Build

Rolled the Blazer outside as its getting moved over to my make-shift paint booth to get the dash painted and a couple other little things. Looks good seeing it somewhat put together.

Re: 1970 Blazer Build

Finished some painting this weekend. Home made paint booth appears to be doing the job getting the fumes out. Overall pretty happy how the paint looks so far. For some reason with the lighting and my phone, the interior looks very green but it isnt in person. Its the same paint as the firewall.

First time using that self leveling seam sealer as well, expensive $$$ but very happy how it lays out.

503 is funny that way, looks green in some light and blueish in others. I like it!

Nice work, Rg

Inside of bedsides painted today. Last of interior is done, just all exterior pieces to do which will have to wait until the spring.

Re: 1970 Blazer Build

Spent Saturday cleaning up the shop and getting organized, winter is around the corner unfortunately. Got a side by side shot with my K10 and Blazer. I realized I hadn't really driven it at all in the last year, so I went and put on about 20 miles and burnt some fuel through it. Someday I hope I'll finally get it off the backburner and finish it.

Re: 1970 Blazer Build

Starting some assembly work. Needed to see how the saddle goes with the green so I put my dash pad on.

Chipping away at little things. Hoping I can hear it running sometime before end of February.

Re: 1970 Blazer Build

It's looking good. The 503/saddle combo is a winner, I have only seen it on Blazers.

Do you leave the paint booth in place or do you take it down when you are not using it?

Thanks, im liking the color too. At this point I dont want any black in the cab, so thinking I will be going woodgrain for the dash and glove box door too.

Paint booth is still assembled, its in a different building.

Re: 1970 Blazer Build

New driveshaft is now in. Started my bucket seat repairs and have the motor turning over from the ignition now.
