Re: Grand Theft Auto

I've been looking at these radio units to put in my truck. Old school look with modern electronics (bluetooth/XM).
https://www.retromanufacturing.com/c...42656723796124

Interested to see what you go with.

Re: Grand Theft Auto

I don't know anything about these radios other than finding the site in a search. You're right the chrome face plate is strange in the pictures and not shown in the video they have on their site. The video just has a smaller bezel that goes around the main section, which would be what I would want as well.

Re: Grand Theft Auto

so I bit the bullet on the radio today spoke with Retro called them today CS was very knowledgeable and professional should see the package in a week or so the face plate is actually a bezel that goes behind the dash so it looks as a original up front went with the middle one m-2 and kick panels speaker package once I get it installed il let you know how install goes and sounds

Re: Grand Theft Auto

I've still got the holes in the doors, the install guy cut in the Late 70s. If I get another audio device, I would just put new 5.5'' speakers in the holes...

Funny, I had surgery for Macular Degeneration about 15 years ago. They doped me down a bit, but not unconcious [I was tripping]. They injected inert gas into my right eyeball, and I was blind in that eye -- everything was white. I had to keep my head down for 48 hours. Rented a special chair with a periscope underslung to watch TV, and a special head down pillow with a breather port. No strenuous activity for the 48 hours. No lifting anything over 35 lbs.
Just then, I got a call from this guy just across the road that I met on this site, with a '68 K/20 out of Tarrytown. [I was born there.] He was pulling his engine. I told the guy the Doc had forbade me from any lifting for 48 hours. Dude thought I was flaking out on him, and never spoke to me again.

Cataracts -- you're put under -- you wake up and they're done. Lasers -- I got lasered in the morning, and worked that night. Driving up to Phoenix for a gig, I was surprised I could read license plates on other cars at range.
