Thinking about selling one of my trucks

I have an idea what I think it’s worth, but was wondering what some of you guys might think. NOTE- truck is not currently for sale

69 K10 SWB. Currently does not have an engine in it, but is setup for a small block. It is pretty much complete other wise. It’s been converted to front disks with a 72 front 44, it’s also got an SM465 and Np205. Originally it was medium green with a saddle interior, likely custom trim level but the spid was painted over so it’s hard to tell a lot about it. No AC, and the seat has been reupholstered with red cloth. Currently it’s got a 4” lift and 33/12.5/15 tires. I repaired the frame around the steering box, which was cracked. It has pretty minimal rust, one small hole in the back of the passenger cab corner and a few places on top of the rockers where the door weather strip attaches, a little bit in a couple outer skin area of the door corners but the bottoms are solid. There’s also a little bit in the floor supports and one very small hole in the passenger toe board. This truck has never had any rust repairs. The roof is solid, the truck over all is fairly straight but not perfect it does have filler in it from a previous restore/repaint. It is a great foundation for a future build but i just don’t know how when I’ll be able to get to it. With three growing kids, a full time job, and a few other projects at hand this one might go down the road. What do you guys think is a fair asking price. This is a legit short bed K10, not a cut down long bed. clean NM title in hand.

Re: Thinking about selling one of my trucks

I like it, and have a 5.3 sitting that would go nice in it.
As far as worth, I've been out of the market for a while so no idea.

I bet there’s People in the club that would have a way too try to get the paint off the build sheet that would make a big difference on price

Re: Thinking about selling one of my trucks

Not in the market, but it is a clean, straight SouthWestern body.
Just wondering if the wood panels on the lower inside doors cover up big 6x9 speaker holes?

Re: Thinking about selling one of my trucks

No engine/not running is kinda a death blow for the chance to get "real money" for it.

I know them SWB K10's are becoming gold nowadays, but it's not restored; a pinhole of rust is just as bad as full on cancer: it must be addressed before a resto/paint.

That truck running and driving clean title in hand should be worth as-is about $8-12k cash money. I'm not talking speculation or "what it'd be posted for".

I mean actual cash money in your bank after negotiations and scammers bothering the crap outta you.

No engine?

$5-6k realistically. I'd post it at 7-8k.

Re: Thinking about selling one of my trucks

I would use acetone on the glove box door around your spid then use a hair dryer on the spid and try to loosen the paint on the spid

Re: Thinking about selling one of my trucks

There are no speaker holes in the doors, just some early 90’s customizations… best I can tell this truck was last on the road in 93-94 going off of the receipts and registration paper work that was in the glove box. The pricing suggested is pretty similar to what I have in mind. As for the spid it’s sprayed on pretty thick, maybe next time I’m up at my house where that truck is stored I’ll see if I can work on it some more.
