1969 2WD Blazer

Did GM make any 2WD Blazers in 1969?

I thought 2WD Blazers were introduced in 1970?

Re: 1969 2WD Blazer

Here's a relevant thread.

Guy claims to know of 4 of them. I have questions... Guy does restos so maybe he has access to more info than I do.

Talking Re: 1969 2WD Blazer

No credible info has been presented to date. Therefore, the 1969 Blazer 2WD was not produced by Chevrolet Motor Division for public consumption.

Re: 1969 2WD Blazer

I've got a copy of the Chevy service news from April 1969 when the Blazer was introduced to the dealers. No mention of a 2wd model.

Re: 1969 2WD Blazer

If you go to the GM heritage center archives and bring up the 1969 Blazer document, it shows the 4wd Blazer and related information.
Moving on to the 1970 Blazer archive it shows both 2wd and 4wd Blazers.
Anyone can make claims about "special order" packages and one of a kind builds, but cannot produce indisputable evidence or documentation.
I've seen claims of a "factory big block" Blazer, but have found no solid evidence.
