Saturday Carshow was great. Saw a bunch of great stuff but only took a few pictures. My daughter took the pictures of my truck so I borrowed them. The green '72 stepside was in the parking lot.

Re: Another Blue Chevy

Put a couple coats of polyurethane on the bed rails over the last three days. You can sure tell where the Chevy Service Signs have been.

We went to Town on Halloween for their Candy Walk. I passed out 44 bags of candy and 200+ Hotwheels.

Thanks! It's fun seeing their faces light up when they see what they are getting. We talked to one of the Mothers of a little boy who was digging into his bag after they got home. She said "you don't need anymore candy". He asked to open his Hotwheels and she said he slept with it and played with it all day Saturday.

Re: Another Blue Chevy

I'm hoping sometime over the winter I can get my updated gauges installed and hooked up. I had an extra set that I bought and gutted then took apart some aftermarket gauges to put their guts inside. I been procrastinating too long.

Re: Another Blue Chevy

I been kinda laid up over the last couple months . Diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in October and Bacterial Pnuemonia in the beginning of November and put on Oxygen. It's a pain to have to haul around an inverter with a hose in the way of everything. I've been going for tests once a week for my heart and my lungs and lost 30 or more pounds and have gotten my blood pressure under control for the first time in 40 years . Hopefully I can get off the oxygen soon. I've been feeling fine but the Doc just wants to make sure.

Great Idea on the Gauges.

You will get there.

I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Are you just on oxygen when needed?

If you have one of those mobile oxygen 2 wheelers,
Please be careful with the slack in the hose.

Well wishes being sent.

Thanks! I put aftermarket gauge guts in my '67 Stepside when I had it and they worked out well. So I thought I would try in on the '35. I've been using the Oxygen most of the time. But over the last few days I been trying to do things without it. I been checking my levels after going a little while without and my oxygen levels don't drop below 88-89 but they want it higher. Thanks for the well wishes!

Post Doing The Do

The key here is to follow the Doctor's orders to the 'T', this includes meds, rest when necessary and exercise as possible .

I don't know the details of being on oxygen but I do know one needs to remain flexible, I do this by walking, I'm always on the move .

Re: Another Blue Chevy

I went for a PFT at the hospital and the tech said I was doing well but a doctor would have to read the results and get back to me. I've been able to do quite a few things without the oxygen and seem to be fine. But I know that the oxygen will help me heal faster.

Re: Another Blue Chevy

I had to look up the PFT.

My wife had to use the red ball gage looking thing when she had her stroke.

I remember this well.

Still praying for you and your speeding recovery.

Well Wish's being sent.

Post Pulmanary Function Test

I hate that thing, I used to smoke like a chimney and can't seen to blow much volume .

May you heal well and rapidly, have a good holiday season .
