Tubular upper control arm cross shaft hitting k member

Does anybody know if this is typical for the tubular upper control arm cross shaft to hit the k member bracket?
I bought the upper and lower control arms from classic industries after getting my frame powder coated so I'd like to avoid grinding the k member if possible.
The pictures show a thick washer and a normal washer which was enough to space it out and not hit but I'm wondering how much that will affect my camber. It's about 3/8" of a spacer.
I'm running drop spindles and a 1" shorter front spring for a drop.

What would be the best way forward in your opinions?

Trim a little off it will be fine. My upper arms were the same.

Are those the right base washers? The stock washers on my '70 are thicker. It could be that once the truck is fully reassembled (full weight on the suspension), your final alignment shims will have the cross shaft clearing that area. If not you could slightly clearance the cross shaft, to prevent the powder coat damage

Re: Tubular upper control arm cross shaft hitting k member

Thank you for the feedback.
I believe they are the correct base washers, they were concave on one side for the stud to rest in.
I was able to remove one of the shims so it's just about 1/4 inch of additional thick washer now. I'm debating just running it instead of clearancing the cross shaft. I need to decide and move on.
Thanks again.
