opinions/info on rear drop coils
Hello, Just fishing for some info on rear drop coils. I'm just looking to drop the rear to level the truck or get rid of the "stink bug" look. I have stock rate springs on all 4 corners, the front are Big Block springs, Ill be running a bbc (which Im about to test run and install, previous BBC parts search on forum, all parts sourced from site, big thanks for help there). With all that said, I'm looking at 2" or 3" drop coils, just questioning which might level it, just dont want to end up with a tail dragger, I know this question might be a bit obsessive, just thought Id check if anyone has gone this route to drop the rear to level a truck. thanks for the help and info.

Re: opinions/info on rear drop coils
I don't have a recommendation on springs. I am thinking about changing from drop springs to static rear air bags. I will air them up to the stance I like and leave them. Costs a little more but will take the guesswork out of the stance.
No controllers or fancy stuff. https://airslamit.com/products/airma...with-2600-bags https://airslamit.com/products/airma...ension-bag-one |

Re: opinions/info on rear drop coils
Thank you for the info on the bags, I think Ill stick with coils, shooting from the hip I think a 2 or 3 inch drop coil will do the trick, Just wanted to see if anyone else had done this to level the rear.

Re: opinions/info on rear drop coils
I had a 71 with stock springs and spindles in front and 3" drop coils in back. It sat almost perfectly level. Of course your results may vary,.

Re: opinions/info on rear drop coils
I run the Ride tech Street Grip lowered springs on the front and back of my GMC and love everything about them. Nice riding, nice handling and not too low or high.

Re: opinions/info on rear drop coils
Thank you all for the info/responses on this. Im tossing around a 2 or 3" rear drop coil. Just diddint want to go too deep and end up with a tail dragger or look like I am constantly hauling a ton of gravel ! will be swapping a ford 9" in and have bbc in frame hopefully soon or at least after holiday season. Will post some pics on result. Thanks again,
