1964 C10 Wiring Details Needed
I bought a '64 C10 and am working on getting it roadworthy. I am trying to figure out the wiring, some of it is missing. i bought the rather sparse wiring diagram and was disappointed that it did not contain any good details of the physical wiring.
What manual includes the physical wiring layouts for the truck? And I would appreciate the best source for said manual. Thanks. |

See the wiring diagram and faq in the link. I'd guess the wiring is similar even though the body styles differ. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...splay.php?f=64
The service manual specific to your vehicle should have wiring diagrams. |

Re: 1964 C10 Wiring Details Needed
Yup, the service manual will have the electrical wiring diagram. For 64, it's a supplement to the 63 service manual. In other words, if you want full coverage of everything, get the 63 service manual + the 64 supplement. But I believe the 64 supplement alone may give you the necessary wiring diagrams.
For the physical layout & routing of the wiring harnesses, you'll want the 60-66 Chevy truck assembly manual. However, that manual isn't the easiest to use until you get used to how it's laid out ... it starts off with 1960, then options for 1960, followed by the things that changed for the following years. I know someone made an index to make the 67-72 assembly manual easier to use but I don't know if anyone has done that for the 60-66 version. |

American Auto Wire has an amazing wiring kit.
But even cooler - they have all of their instructions online including the schematics, which is certainly similar to original. It might help.

Maybe these will help. 64-66. Color one is with voltage regulator an other without.

Re: 1964 C10 Wiring Details Needed
Rock Auto has reprints of the original drawings for cheap. I find a few minor differences from year to year, but they are workable.2
They look just like the first black & white that Val Gonzales posted. I believe there are a total of four pages. |
