Re: Sideways Saturday
Nice rig.
I think I remember a K/5-Camper called a Chalet, that didn't have a cap over the front cab, but was a blended assembly.

Re: Sideways Saturday
Thanks bud. I like it simple. ![]() Actually my favorite type of weather after the brutal summers we have here. People always complain about dreary days and rain, I absolutely love them for a change of pace from being cooked on the many 100 degree days we get. A lot going on with that truck, appears to be in great condition. '71 or '72? I don't know enough about the two to spot the difference from looking at a picture. I like the cab lights. |

I suppose this counts as sideways Saturday. The picture shows where my truck died because of a dead battery after the first test drive. This is the point I decided I really needed to look at my charging system.

the fuel pump in my '02 sierra decided to stop working in a very busy chick-fil-a drive thru, just after ordering, in the single file line to the window - no escape! thankfully I had just picked up my son from football practice so we both managed pushing it through, got our food, and ate it while waiting for a tow

![]() I suppose the cooler overcast is a relief from the hot weather, I just would have preferred a little nicer fall weather longer than a week.. it's been raining on/off past three weeks and suddenly now 20° with 8° wind chill, didn't leave me a lot of time to prepare for winter.

Re: Sideways Saturday
Ive had several Burbs and my wife definitely knows she doesn't want one. She hated riding in them. Too old and too big and too stinky haha. My guess is she probably wouldn't want one even if it was restored to factory fresh in all ways including that new car smell.

Re: Sideways Saturday
It wouldn't be my wife's daily driver, but she would drive it on short trips, like to the grocery store or lawn and garden center. She drives my C10 on occasion, and says she gets all kinds of attention-- people waving or giving her a thumbs-up. And it runs, drives, and stops well.

Re: Sideways Saturday
Oh yeah, I was definitely happy it decided to stop there. It was the first test drive and I had pulled up to back it into the shop.
