cv axle replacement time, any better than others...
Guys, just noticed the cv joint rubber boot on one axle has cracked and slinging out the grease. Time to replace the axle and was wondering any brand is better than others. The joint itself is fine after 200k miles, it seems on most axles its the rubber boot that gives way first, so , wondering who's producing axles with the best boot. Defiantly want another 200k miles out of the replacement. thanks..

Re: cv axle replacement time, any better than others...
Looking at eBay I can find axles selling for $45 bucks upwards past a $100 bucks. My price at Oreillys is $100 bucks and comes with a lifetime warranty. Prolly will go with that as I have no plans to ever sell the truck. My other 'daily driver' truck is a 69 GMC my Dad bought new in 69, I tend to hang on to stuff......
