new brake lines needed
Hello everyone. I am back to working on my forever 67 truck project. I am looking for advice from you all about what manufacturer has the best pre-bent SS brake line kits. I am kinda list because when i stripped the old steel lines off of the frame I must have tossed them because they were totally trash. So now I am not only looking for the best place to purchase them I will need to know where each line particularly goes. I have been told to not use a couple suppliers because the bends are not correctly made to fit where they are supposed to be designed to. Are they all made in the same factory? Do the kits contain everything needed for a front disc and rear drum setup?
Thanks for any information or recommendations. |

Re: new brake lines needed
Have you considered making your own brake lines? The last few hot rods I've built I've used NiCopp brake lines. Flares like butter. You can buy lines flared with fittings in numerous lengths. And you can buy it bulk.
I get it at Oreilly's. Last edited by LS short box; 12-22-2025 at 09:57 PM. |

Re: new brake lines needed
This is a good idea. Just wanting to bend and flair as a last option. But it may come to that
Thank you for the reply |

Re: new brake lines needed
I've used pre-bent line kits from Inline Tube and The Right Stuff. Both fit pretty well, but both needed a little massaging here and there. For my '68 C/10, I used a front brake line kit for 71-72 to reroute the lines to the front of the front suspension for a disc brake conversion.
