Re: "BUILD: 1970 C10 LWB--->SWB “Jumping Cholla”

I made the choice to move the C10 into temporary storage for the summer. It's just too hot in Phx to drive it around with no A/C and the Wife wanted her parking spot in the garage back.

I'll still give it some love with an occasional start up here and there, but it's probably going to sit pushed against the garage wall for the next few months.

Next month I might start messing around with installing a stereo system but we'll see. My desire to be in a hot garage right now is pretty low

Sounds like the truck and garage both need AC. It's only money right?!

I'm in the same boat Scott! It is time to push these things into their warm summer cocoon!

The C10 will be out of hibernation for Dino's. We definitely need to meet up.
Chaparralman1974 and I were already talking about it a couple of weeks ago.

Re: "BUILD: 1970 C10 LWB--->SWB “Jumping Cholla”

Been awhile since I last updated the tread. Really haven't done anything to it except DRIVE it.

The Boy and I went to Dino's in November. It was a good time. We got to the staging area around 5am and didn't park in the final lot until 9am. Long time to just park in the lot with all the other C10 on the other side of the great lawn and the "Vendor" area. Not sure I would take the C10 again unless we go super early to get in line to park on the Vendor side. My C10 is about in the middle of the ariel shot below. It was an insane amount for Chevy trucks.

Just been driving the truck every few days to get groceries, short errands and just some fun quick rides around the hood. Needs to scrap some pennies together for a Vintage Air kit and a radio. The 454 is nice to listen to, but I would love to have some tunes as well.

The daughter and I went for a little evening C10 ride the other night and she took a very nice sunset pic. On the same drive, the C10 hit 1000 miles since it was back on the road. Love driving this thing. It's constant smiles every time I'm behind the wheel.

Happy New Year everyone!

I'll probably go with this RetroRadio unit and some simple 6x9 boxes behind the buckets. Maybe their powered sub under a seat.

I've been looking at those. Let us know what you think if/when you get it.
