Re: Another '63 Restomod Build

It's been ~2 months since I've updated this thread. I've been busy with full time work and full time online classes. Spring break arrived and I decided to take the week off from work to truly have a break, spend time with the family, and work on the truck.
Here are some updates:
Started working on the middle part of the frame, under the cab

Anyone know what these numbers represent?

Getting the inside of the frame, stopped at the trailing arm crossmember because that's getting replaced

Re: Another '63 Restomod Build

The parking brake crossmember, although it might not be needed since we might just do disc brakes in the rear with e-brake

Then we lifted the cab to clean up the cab mounts and replace the bushings
..and this is why

We went with new OEM rubber set, read too much about the polyurethane bushings being very stiff and resulting in harsh ride quality

After all is said and done

Re: Another '63 Restomod Build

Grandpa is coming to visit 2 weeks from now so we ordered brakes to create memories with him
Since we're going to be bagging this truck, we went with CPP's modular spindles that help with the tire to fender interference issue.. these allow for an additional 1 1/8 in. more clearance

Love the family effort! I remember seeing those numbers on my 63 frame as well. The VIN is on the top, so could they be just the part number stamped with the frame rails were made?
