Anybody know of a Route 66 tour or Route 66 car show this summer? I would like to go.

Does anybody know of any big Route 66 tours going on this summer or any big car shows dedicated to Route 66?

I sure would like to do that this summer but I do not know anybody interested in doing it or know of one.

Williams AZ has a BIG show in June and it is a mile of cars both sides. I entered last year and it was a LOT of fun and amazing!

Several towns along 66 are having shows for the 100th anniversary of 66.

Nice! That sounds really good. Is there a website with car show info?

I don't know where you are located but I think the Power Tour route is along a portion of Route 66 this summer.

Look in the ‘events’ section in here.
Might find what you’re looking for.

Book early for the Williams show as it fills up quick and the Motel / Hotels fill up quicker! If you can get a motel room right on the strip where you park your truck then it is a lot more enjoyable. My wife and I did this and then we didnt need to get up stupid early and we kept snacks and drinks in out room. There are nice campgrounds nearby too.

Just note in regards to hotels next to the venue. Most likely they are already booked and are going to be sold at much higher rates.
When we did the Power Tour we hung out at the venue till late afternoon and them motored down the road in the direction of the tour about 30 miles for much cheaper hotel rooms. Still many hot rods in the hotel parking lots.
We always had a great time.

Come to Oklahoma! We are having a big cruise on Memorial Day weekend in Tulsa to set the Guiness World Record for largest classic car cruise on Rt 66.

https://oklahomaroute66.com/events-1...nial-event-tbd

Also, the end of June, AAA sponsors a Rt66 Roadfest in Tulsa. Indoors, traveling display of the history of Rt66 and a big car show. It's a lot of fun for the family! I've participated in it since they started about 4 years ago. Indoor, a/c, and good amount of vehicles!

https://route66roadfest.com/

Plus - Oklahoma has the most drivable miles of Rt66 still in existence, and Tulsa was recently named the Rt66 capitol of the US.

This is an event that I have been involved with for 4 years now and they will be going down Route 66 this year. This isn't something that you may want to follow along with, but if you can hit one of the night stops, or even a lunch stop, it is definitely worth a look

So where do they go exactly for the cruise on Memorial Day in Tulsa? Do they just cruise around the city of Tulsa? The flyer really doesnt say where else except it is taking place in Tulsa.

There’s at least 2 of them in tucumcari this year. I think there’s a couple later in the year in Grants and Gallup as well.

The flyer has a link embedded (easy to miss):

In it you'll find more info including the route of a parade in Tulsa.
