Has anyone used these?

I bought some nice ‘72 door panels that I am going to use in my’70. Has anyone used the extensions for the window cranks and door latch relays? Did they work out ok? Here is a link for what I am talking about:

Re: Has anyone used these?

I would be concerned about leverage on the regulator if the mechanism tightens up. Looks like it should do what its designed for, but at what cost

Re: Has anyone used these?

I would really only need them on the door latch relays, as I have already converted a pair of regulators to power for the windows. I am not sure how easy it will be to find ‘72 relays.

Re: Has anyone used these?

The shafts are 1/2” so I think they are strong enough.

Re: Has anyone used these?

I'm assuming these would be needed if going to a thicker door panel?

Re: Has anyone used these?

Yes that’s the plan, to put ‘72 door panels in my ‘70.

Re: Has anyone used these?

Caution on fitment of aftermarket 72 panels. If you plan on using original faux wood inserts, and SS trim ring, they don't fit the aftermarket panels correctly. I attempted before I realized my panels were salvageable with some effort to clean. The aftermarket panels from classic industries fit the door but inserts from original were a no go. At the time there was a vender selling some at 2 or 3 times the price claiming correct fitment. That prompted me to re think restoring the originals. Glad I did.

Re: Has anyone used these?

I will be using original GM panels. Good info though, thank you.
