Lower Radiator Splash Shield
I'm working on mounting the grill and lower radiator splash shield on my 51 3600. I can see where the splash shield mounts to the fronts of the inner fenders but I don't see where the 2 tabs at the back of the splash shield mount. Looks like they should go between the inner fenders and the core support but there aren't any holes that match up with the ones on the tabs and there are no recesses in the inner fenders or the core support to accept the tabs. Without recesses the tabs would cause a gap between the inner fender and core when shield is mounted.
What am I missing.

Re: Lower Radiator Splash Shield
Yup, couldn't be more obvious to me today. Guess this old brain was just wore out yesterday after working on the truck all day. The bolt holes on the tabs looked like they were on the diagonal and wouldn't line up with those two bolts. Looked at it this morning and it's plain as day. Thanks for the synapse spark.

Re: Lower Radiator Splash Shield
Leegreen for the win. The holes in the inner fender correspond with these two holes in the radiator support with those bars sandwiched in between as you can see from the imprint here. And if I am going to use that radiator support with that 'GMC radiator to gain space I am going to have to repair some bolt holes. That one is already cut for clearance at the top and all I have to do is clean the cut up.
