Re: BUCKET SEATS in a 1984 ??
Here is a new product out for the 1973-86 bucket seats to be mounted in a regular cab truck. I have not purchased/tested these and I have no affiliation with the company, but the price is reasonable.

Re: BUCKET SEATS in a 1984 ??
These look interesting. Especially for the fact that they advertise universal application between the low backs and high backs. But also that there’s no center perch needed and you shouldn’t have to worry about cobbling different brackets and sliders to make buckets work. The price point is the biggest factor though, for less than $200 they might be worth a try.

Re: BUCKET SEATS in a 1984 ??
That’s still not bad considering trying to locate a set of factory truck brackets is extremely difficult. And half the time they’re rusted out and guys still want $150+ for them. Plus with these you don’t need to also find a set of center perches and weld them in

Thanks to Kenny for posting. This is a great solution IMO instead of gathering brackets, welding, less drilling of floor pan, etc. Bought my used adjustable drivers side brackets from TKCR and although 'restored' they were still basically worn out, don't work well at all. Often new parts are the way to go.

The more I look at them, the better I like them.

Re: BUCKET SEATS in a 1984 ??
It looks like this new option picks up on 4 bolt holes that stayed the same from 73-85 on all the buckets. The problem with the factory approach was they changed some of the holes around between the 73-75 and 76-85 seats. That and the number of parts needed to save $0.50 on the seat slider by reusing the bench seat sliders.

Re: BUCKET SEATS in a 1984 ??
The slider portion for buckets and benches is identical for the 73-85 bucket seats. The whole point of the GM brackets was to adapt the bench seat slider to the bucket seat base, likely shared across many platforms. I have several used sets of bench seat sliders left over I don't need.
